Montana-born Duncan Vezain has spent most of his life around horses, shaping a career that seamlessly blends his natural talents and passions. His journey into the film industry began unexpectedly when a wrangler needed additional horses for a production. Duncan, with his well-trained horses and expertise, stepped in to fill the gap. His skill with horse training, both in the saddle and at the reins, quickly made him an invaluable resource on set.
Beyond his work with horses, Duncan is also a skilled craftsman. He has honed his abilities as a wheelwright, creating custom wagons, and as a saddle maker, building functional and artistic pieces. It was during a meeting with a director about wagons for a film that his life took an unexpected turn. Duncan’s easy charisma and natural presence earned him his first acting role in the movie Steel Wind.
Since that debut, Duncan has become a familiar face in films, often appearing as a stunt driver, stunt rider, or actor in productions where his horses are also featured. His diverse talents and down-to-earth charm have solidified his place in the industry.
